$200k Drawdown Georgia grant revitalizes Thomasville’s Dewey City with housing and food initiatives

In December 2024, Drawdown Georgia announced its 2025-26 Climate Solutions & Equity Grantees.

Thomasville Community Development Corporation is one of the recipients. They will use their grant will help repurpose the old Douglass High School into 52 senior apartments with solar energy and to implement a new plant-based food program will provide meals and education to up to 40 families in the Dewey City community.
