Southface Strengthens Policy and Advocacy Team

Lisa Bianchi-Fossati Joins Southface as Director of Policy

Southface is pleased to announce that Lisa Bianchi-Fossati will join its staff, bringing a wealth of experience in the energy and utilities sector to the organization’s efforts to transform the market for clean energy and sustainable development in Georgia and the Southeast.

Ms. Bianchi-Fossati has fifteen years of experience with Accenture, where she worked with electric, gas and water utilities in North America and Europe. She designed, developed and implemented business and technology solutions across all supplier segments, including generation, network operations and retail service provision. Most recently, Ms. Bianchi-Fossati supported the Georgia Legacy Coalition with its efforts to establish a long-term, sustainable source of funding for land and water conservation in Georgia.

As Director of Policy, Ms. Bianchi-Fossati will build upon the achievements of Southface in promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions with legislatures and utility commissions. She will also help develop an expanded agenda on policy matters, including energy codes, green infrastructure and sustainable development strategies.

“Lisa combines an inside perspective with a real passion to advance sustainable use of natural resources,” said Dennis Creech, Executive Director of Southface. “Southface’s work to transform the markets for clean energy and sustainable development calls for exceptional expertise and commitment, and Lisa brings both.”
“The Policy Team at Southface is delighted to be able to grow under Lisa’s leadership,” said John Sibley, Senior Policy Fellow. “There are not many opportunities to add her kind of talent and experience to our work.”
