Ray C. Anderson Foundation and Georgia State University Seniors Partner for RayDay Event and the Brighten Your Corner Competition
Twenty five seniors enrolled in a marketing capstone class at Georgia State University (GSU) are working with the Ray C. Anderson Foundation as a marketing consultation client. The class, under the direction of Professor Hiram Barksdale, is obtaining real world experience, while pursuing Foundation goals, including a challenge to increase awareness of sustainability on the GSU campus.
The students will be hosting a month-long sustainability awareness campaign on campus that will culminate with the RayDay™ at GSU event on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at noon at the Rialto Center for the Arts.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about sustainability issues that affect the GSU campus and its stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff and neighboring businesses.
RayDay@GSU will feature presentations by a number of high profile Atlanta leaders who are advancing sustainability initiatives through government, nonprofits, industry and product manufacture. Speakers are: Laura Turner Seydel, Ciannat Howett and Bill Strang. The event is free to the public.
