Alexandria "Alex" McBride
Founding Executive Director
Alexandria “Alex” McBride is the Founding Executive Director of Live Oak, a philanthropic initiative currently incubated within the Ray C. Anderson Foundation that works to accelerate funding and investment in equitable climate solutions and community resilience across the Southeast.
An Atlanta native with nearly two decades of experience across philanthropy, government, and nonprofits, Alex brings a commitment to strengthening community institutions and advancing locally driven solutions. Previously, she led a $90 million national climate justice portfolio at Waverley Street Foundation and served as Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Oakland, California. Her leadership is grounded in a belief that philanthropy works best when it moves alongside communities rather than ahead of them.

We send occasional updates on Live Oak's progress, our perspective on Southeast climate philanthropy, and opportunities to get involved.
