Mary Anne Lanier is Appointed to Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Board

Mary Anne Lanier, Foundation Trustee and daughter of the late Ray C. Anderson, has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

The Chattahoochee Riverkeeper’s (CRK) mission is to advocate and secure the protection and stewardship of the Chattahoochee River, its tributaries and watershed, in order to restore and preserve their ecological health for the people and wildlife that depend on the river system.

Ray C. Anderson (1934-2011) was a longtime supporter of the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, receiving the River Guardian Award in 2010, and serving on the CRK’s Advisory Board for several years.

With her recent appointment to the CRK Board of Directors, Mary Anne is proud to be carrying on her father’s legacy, with a local organization that he loved.

Mary Anne also follows her father’s legacy with her service on the National Wildlife Federation’s (NWF’s) President’s Advisory Council and the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health Dean’s Council.
