So I…um……forgot. That’s right, I forgot. I didn’t write a blog post last week. I could blame it on successfully unplugging from work between Christmas and New Years Day, meaning I didn’t prep for what I would write. Or I could blame it on being focused on catching up on other things on January 2nd. In all honesty though, I forgot.
And this week, I’m on vacation! So while I didn’t forget this time, I’m taking it fairly easy on the blog. I simply want to share with you another 2017 reflection post, one that’s a lot better than the one I wrote a few weeks back.
For many years in a row, Andrew Winston has written a Top 10 Sustainable Business Stories of the Year article, and here is his latest one. I’ve had the privilege of sharing Andrew’s company twice, and he’s simply brilliant. I hope you read and enjoy his writing.
One highlight for me in the post, and it’s in the “So what’s next?” section – “Millennials and Gen Z will continue to push for purpose and meaning in work and life.” Andrew, as a Millennial, I strongly agree with this! I feel fortunate that the work I am privileged to do allows me to connect with purpose, meaning and my values. It’s something I hope more and more people can find.
