Atlanta, GA, March 7, 2013 - The Ray C. Anderson Foundation is pleased to announce its partnership with Georgia State University senior marketing majors to promote the Foundation, and raise awareness about sustainability on campus. The project seeks to instill the importance of environmental conservation in students and faculty, and to encourage GSU to join the ranks of leading institutions across the country that are integrating sustainability into their culture, operations, and curricula.

To kick off the initiative, the students will be hosting  RayDay@GSU. The event will take place at The Rialto Center for the Arts on April 4th, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 PM.  Light refreshments and a live panel discussion will follow the program, which will feature exceptional speakers from Atlanta’s sustainability community including Laura Turner Seydel, national environmental advocate and eco-living expert, Ciannat Howett, director of sustainability initiatives and adjunct professor, Emory University, and Bill Strang, president, Americas operations, TOTO USA, Inc.

The Foundation seeks to spread the message of sustainability to students, and the surrounding Atlanta communities, and continue Ray Anderson’s legacy by encouraging the next generation of decision makers to choose to brighten the corners of the world while being mindful of the condition we leave our Earth in for tomorrow’s child.
